  Charles Ong
Senior Managing Director, Special Projects

Charles joined Temasek in 2002. He is also Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of SeaTown Holdings International before which he was holding the position of Chief Strategist at Temasek.

Charles started his career as an investment banker with Lazard Freres & Co., New York. He also worked for Deutsche Bank AG in Singapore before joining Temasek.

  Cheo Hock Kuan

Co-Head, China

Hock Kuan joined Temasek in 2002. Her focus areas have included organisation development, leadership dynamics and partnership, board governance and executive/board compensation. Before joining Temasek, Hock Kuan was with Singapore Technologies Pte Ltd, where she was responsible for the executive resource management of the Singapore Technologies group of companies.

  Gan Chee Yen

Chee Yen joined Temasek in 2003.

He was previously Director, Finance of Singapore Technologies. Chee Yen has also served on the boards of several Singapore-based companies including Neptune Orient Lines and is currently a member of the Board of Commissioners of Bank Danamon Indonesia.

  Goh Yong Siang

Yong Siang joined Temasek in August 2006. Prior to that, he spent 7 years in the United States, initially as President, ST Engineering (USA) and subsequently for the next 5 years, in private equity with Texas-based companies. Yong Siang was a fighter pilot and served in the Singapore Armed Forces, retiring as Chief of the Air Force in 1998.

  Hiew Yoon Khong

Yoon Khong joined Temasek in 2003. He is also Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mapletree Investments before which he was Managing Director for Temasek's Private Equity Funds Investment portfolio.

He previously held the positions of Chief Financial Officer of the CapitaLand group and CEO of CapitaLand Commercial and CapitaLand Financial.

  Jimmy Phoon

Co-Head, India

Jimmy rejoined Temasek on 1 November 2008. He was previously with Temasek from October 1999 to September 2007, with his last held position as Chief Investment Officer, before he left to pursue his own interests.

Prior to joining Temasek, Jimmy was with Standard Chartered Merchant Bank Asia Limited for his eight years where he managed several initial public offerings, public takeovers, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.

  Leong Wai Leng
Chief Financial Officer

Wai Leng joined Temasek in March 2006.

Prior to this, she was Deputy CEO of Raffles Holdings and concurrently CEO of Raffles International. Wai Leng had 23 years of experience in senior management positions before joining Temasek.

Manish joined Temasek in 2004 and has key responsibility for Temasek's investments in India and the Financial Services sector. Prior to this, Manish was a Partner at McKinsey & Company Inc. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College (Economics & Engineering) and Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar).

  Ng Yat Chung
Head, Portfolio Management & Operations
Co-Head, Singapore

Yat Chung joined Temasek in July 2007. He was previously the Chief of Defence Force of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). During his 28 year career in the SAF, Yat Chung commanded various units and served in senior staff positions including Chief of Staff (Joint Staff) and Chief of Army.

  Tow Heng Tan
Chief Investment Officer
Co-Head, Singapore

Heng Tan joined Temasek in 2002.

Heng Tan was Managing Director of Lum Chang Securities and subsequently Senior Director of DBS Vickers Securities after a series of mergers and restructuring saw Lum Chang being incorporated into the latter.

He is also a Board Director of Keppel Corporation and ComfortDelgro Corporation.
