Wai Ching joined Temasek in 2006 and oversees the Human Resources function for the Senior Management team in the firm. She also supports the Remuneration and Nominating Committees of our respective portfolio companies with regard to management incentive plans design, non executive directors and executive compensation, as well as board appointments to the boards of these companies.

Wai Ching’s career in human resources spans 28 years and includes appointments at Fullerton Financial Holdings, Citibank N.A., Singapore Technologies, United Overseas Bank and Overseas Union Bank.

CHEO Hock Kuan
Senior Managing Director, Special Projects

Hock Kuan joined Temasek in 2002. Her focus areas are organisation development, leadership dynamics and partnership, board governance and executive/board compensation.  She also lends support to the Markets and Enterprise Development Groups.

Prior to Temasek, Hock Kuan was with Singapore Technologies, where she was responsible for the executive resource management of the Singapore Technologies group of companies.

CHIA Song Hwee

Song Hwee joined Temasek in October 2011.

Prior to Temasek, Song Hwee was the Chief Operating Officer at GLOBALFOUNDRIES which has integrated with Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing.

Before the integration, Song Hwee served as Director of the Board, and President and CEO of Chartered from 2002 to 2009. He has also held various senior management positions at Chartered, which he joined in 1996.

Prior to Temasek, he was the Group CFO with UBS AG, where he has held other senior roles including Global Head of the Financial Institutions group at UBS’s Investment Bank and CEO of UBS Limited. He had also served as Chairman and CEO, UBS AG (Europe, Middle East & Africa).

John has more than 20 years of experience in providing strategic and financial advice to a wide range of companies in the financial services sector globally.

Gregory joined Temasek in September 2010.

He retired from the Bank of America in March 2010 after a banking career of over 30 years during which he served in a number of senior executive capacities including Vice Chairman of Corporate Development, and last held the position of Chief Risk Officer.

Ding Wei joined Temasek in February 2011.

Prior to Temasek, Ding Wei spent over 24 years in international finance, commercial banking and investment banking in leading financial institutions which included the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Deutsche Bank, and China International Capital Corporation, including 12 years based in China.

Ho Ching joined Temasek in 2002 as Executive Director, and was appointed CEO in 2004.

She started her career as an engineer and was the President and CEO of Singapore Technologies Group prior to joining Temasek.

Prior to Temasek, Theng Kiat was the President and CEO of ST Telemedia and held various senior positions in Singapore Technologies Pte Ltd (ST). Theng Kiat had served in the Singapore Legal Services for over eight years before joining ST.

SEAH Moon Ming

Moon Ming joined Temasek in March 2013.

Prior to Temasek, Moon Ming was the Deputy CEO of ST Engineering, overseeing ST Aerospace, ST Electronics, ST Kinetics and ST Marine.  He joined the Singapore Technologies Group as General Manager of subsidiary, CET Technologies in July 1994.  Moon Ming held many other senior roles including but not limited to President of ST Electronics, Deputy CEO of ST Engineering overseeing the Electronics and Land Systems sectors and President of International Business. In August 2009, he was appointed as Deputy CEO to drive the defence business and oversee all the four business sectors.

Moon Ming has more than 30 years of business experience in the engineering and electronics space.

Rohit started his initial career with Citibank, India and McKinsey & Co in India.

Chong Lee joined Temasek in October 2011.

Prior to Temasek, he was the Country Executive of South East Asia and Head of Corporate & Investment Banking, South East Asia at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Chong Lee was also previously the co-head of Investment Banking, South East Asia with Goldman Sachs and Head of Investment Banking, South East Asia at BNP Paribas.
