Overview of Temasek

Temasek is an investment company headquartered in Singapore, with 10 locations in cities across Asia and Latin America.

Temasek is wholly-owned by the Singapore Government.

Temasek owns and manages its assets on a commercial basis.

Investment, divestment and business decisions are directed by its Board and management.

Temasek’s portfolio as at 31 March 2011 was S$193 billion (US$153 billion).

For the year ended 31 March 2011, Temasek delivered a 17% total shareholder return (S$ terms) compounded annually since its inception in 1974.
