A Crucial Partnership at a Critical Time

At the height of the pandemic in 2020, Singapore Airlines and Temasek Foundation partnered with the World Food Programme to airlift essential medical supplies and humanitarian aid to areas in need around the world. The organisations worked closely together to ensure the timely execution of flights for the shipment of these critical supplies from Shanghai and Guangzhou to 8 destinations globally.

The first flight from Shanghai on 21 August transported critical protective equipment for UNICEF for distribution to frontline healthcare workers in Dhaka. The partnership has seen the completion of 40 flights, carrying over 5200 cubic metres of COVID-related products such as face shields, goggles, gowns, and respirator masks.
