Temasek Undergraduate Overseas Scholarships

 

Scholarship Benefits

Eligibility Criteria

 

Interested polytechnic students are encouraged to apply prior to commencing their undergraduate degree. 

Applications may be submitted before final cumulative GPA and examination results are received.

Applicants must:

  • Be a Singapore citizen

  • Be graduated or graduating from a local polytechnic, with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5

  • Accepted or planning to enroll in a STEM undergraduate course at an overseas university (excluding Medicine and Dentistry)

  • Have a Gross Monthly Household Income of ≤ S$15,0001 at the point of admission

  • Demonstrate commitment to contribute to the STEM economy in Singapore

A provisional scholarship offer may be extended if the applicant is found suitable, subject to confirmation upon the release of his / her final cumulative GPA, examination results, and acceptance into an overseas university.

Gross Monthly Household Income refers to the total monthly income received by working members of the household from employment and business. This includes basic employment income, trade/self-employed income, overtime pay, allowances, cash awards, commissions, or bonuses. 

 

Bond Period+

 

Upon graduation, the scholar is required to contribute to Singapore’s innovation and growth and serve a 4-year bond to work in a STEM-related role in Singapore or with a Singapore-headquartered company.

Application

Before applying, please consolidate the following supporting documents in a single file for ease of uploading (under CV submission).

  • Certificates of Academic Qualification Obtained (e.g. GCE O-level, Polytechnic Diploma, or equivalent) 

  • Pre-tertiary Academic Results (e.g. Polytechnic Diploma, or equivalent) 

  • Co-curricular Activities Records, Prizes, and Awards

  • University Application and Outcomes if available

Kindly note the following:

  • Applicants may submit preliminary polytechnic diploma results for their application

  • Applicants who will be enlisting for National Service may apply

  • As part of the application, applicants will be required to declare your Gross Monthly Household Income

Online Assessment and Video Interviews 

If shortlisted, the applicant will be required to complete a series of assessments designed to evaluate his or her general abilities, motivations, interests, and values. These include:

  • Online Psychometric and Personality Assessment

  • Video Interview (Remote, On-Demand)

In-Person Group Assessment

 The group assessment encompasses a 1-day in-person evaluation of leadership, agility, teamwork and critical thinking.

Final Interview

Final candidates will be invited for a 60-minutes structured interview.

 

Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis until 28 Sep 2025. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified.
