Singapore, 31 July 2014 – Mr John Cryan, Temasek’s President, Europe, has requested to step down from his current executive responsibilities, and has agreed to take on the role of an Advisory Senior Director with effect from 1 August 2014.  This will provide him the flexibility to pursue his other interests.

John has been instrumental in helping to establish our credit strategy and portfolio, and will continue to chair ST Asset Management, a wholly owned Temasek fund investment company.  In his new role, John will help to further strengthen Temasek’s network and relationships in Europe, and to advise on opportunities and initiatives in Europe, Africa and elsewhere, including insights on macroeconomic outlook, as well as regulatory and business environment in these markets.

Senior Managing Director, Mr Tan Chong Lee will head Temasek’s Europe market team.
