We refer to Asia Business Daily's article titled “Singapore's Temasek to Invest in Samsung and SK hynix... 'First Investment in Korean Stock Market”. The article contains several factual inaccuracies regarding Temasek's investments in Samsung Electronics and SK hynix. 

We would like to clarify the following points: 

• Temasek did not seek advice from the South Korean government on the timing of any investment in Samsung Electronics or SK hynix. 
• Temasek first invested in both Samsung Electronics and SK hynix more than two years ago. 
• This is not Temasek's first investment in the South Korean stock market. Temasek has previously invested in South Korean companies including Celltrion, Hyundai Motor and POSCO.
