Langkah Bahagia Sdn. Bhd. (“Langkah Bahagia”) and Duxton Investments Pte. Ltd. (“Duxton”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Asia Financial Holdings Pte. Ltd. (“AFH”) announced today that they have invested in Malaysian Plantations Berhad (“MPlant”) through investment vehicle, Vertical Theme Sdn. Bhd. (“VTSB”). VTSB is 51% held by Langkah Bahagia and 49% held by Duxton. As a result of this investment, VTSB has a 30.14% stake in MPlant, which consists of 350,455,706 shares and 116,818,569 warrants, which were purchased at an average price of RM 2.70 per share and RM 1.49 per warrant.

En. Mohd Nasir Bin Ali, Director of Langkah Bahagia, said: “We are happy that the investment in MPlant has been completed. We are pleased to enter into this joint investment with AFH, which is an investor and shareholder of many leading financial services companies in Asia.”
